You can't just ghost people for going on 2 years and then still expect people to support you and give you more money in the future when it's convenient for them. The people at Oovee aren't any better than the people at Saber. Not even a small update, no contact whatsoever. Jumping the gun, telling people that the game was back, and they were even looking to hire some people for development, then after it was taken off a day or two later they vanish. I have little hopes of them coming back at this point. We'll see when the ST guys will resurface to why ST was off STEAM again for the third time Steam is just covering its own behind because it doesn't want to get sued by Saber as well for selling what is claimed to be an infringing product. It's Steam that pulled the game due to copyright claims filed by Saber. Originally posted by Unster:It's not a court order that forced ST off Steam. It's not a court order that forced ST off Steam. Who knows - as far as we know there's no court injunction for Oovee not to release more STEAM keys or stop the sales of the game - I had the feeling that the STEAM take down is Oovee legal strategy to further claim of loss of sales but not due to court order to stop the sales of Spintires.īesides, Spintires was released historically way much earlier than the other Saber's game and any Saber claims. The other DLC's and the base game have been around much longer, hence more keys to resell. There just wasn't much time for resellers to buy up the keys. I would only add that the reason it's China DLC that's hard to get is that the game got taken off Steam shortly after this DLC released (early 2021). Originally posted by Unster:I think Wreez has it right about the keys. Steam is causing the issue here, even on other websites. There will be a point, when those resellers also run out of base game keys as well, if Steam doesn't reopen the game for sale. They are running out of DLC codes, but not the base game codes for that reason. Now there's a shortage.Ī lot of people already had Spintires but didn't play it because they couldn't buy the DLCs. Before they could buy more keys, Steam closed the game down again. When Spintires came back on the Steam store a few weeks ago, a lot of players started buying up the DLC keys (myself included - I already had the base game but not the DLCs, like many others), indiegala and other resellers ran out quickly because they weren't prepared for it. Once they go through all those hundred (or what ever) keys, they can't buy more from Steam.īut Steam can't prevent people from activating keys they've already bought. Those retailers like indiegala will buy a hundreds keys at once, and Steam will give them discounts, then they resell the keys and make a profit. Steam doesn't allow the game to be sold, so Steam won't allow any more Steam codes to be generated either. But the issue is: when the resellers run out of Steam codes to activate the game, or the DLC, they won't be able to generate more. They are resellers so they bought all the codes ahead of time. Not sure - the main game and other DLCs are still for sales inspite the legal issues at hands Kinda wish I would have bought a extras when I got mine a few weeks ago. It is popular and everyone ran out of Steam keys and new keys can't be generated now because of the legal issues and the game isn't for sale on Steam. Originally posted by Wreez:It is out of stock.
